Starter was founded in New Haven, Connecticut by David Beckerman, a University of New Haven alumnus, to manufacture team uniforms for high school athletic programs. The new line of satin and pull-over jackets are sold in stores and online. Starter acquire licensing to the NFL, NBA, MLB & NCAA distributed nation wide, continuously sponsoring athletes.
